Get involved with The Friends

Be part of the Garden's story

The Friends of Bridge End Gardens Logo

The Friends of Bridge End Gardens is a registered charity. Its objectives are to restore, preserve and maintain Bridge End Garden and to provide education on the Garden and its history.

The charity works closely with Saffron Walden Town Council in the care of the Garden and contributes to decisions about conservation and management.  It is also a membership organisation which encourages members to feel part of an active group making a difference in the Garden.

If you are new to the town, then volunteering is a good way to make new friends, and if you want to learn to garden, we can set you on the right track.  Education is a significant part of our charitable objectives; this includes providing training opportunities for the volunteers and information for the public through our leaflet, Visitor Centre, the website, lectures and guided tours.  We also have social events.  Come and join us!
