To keep the character of a private garden, signage is kept to a minimum in Bridge End Garden but four discreet boards have recently been added at the four entrances to help visitors find their way.
There are also two 'QR codes' on the boards: one takes you to information about the Garden, including a plan, and the other to make a donation.
Thank you to Kate Yue Zhang (pictured above) of the Friends' chair's former practice, Liz Lake Associates, Landscape Architects for a delightful plan that you can also see under the Visit section of this website.
We are very grateful that the artwork, the four boards and the installation were funded by the Saffron Walden Rotary Club from a bequest from one of their members, Donald Purkiss. To find out more about Donald Purkiss go to Lives Remembered on this website.
And thank you to Barney Miller of The Design Mill (pictured below) for supplying and fixing the boards very efficiently and promptly. We think they look great and we hope you'll agree!
